On the December 1st, my two little(can we call them little anymore?) babies turned nine months old. They have changed so much this month. There are so many changes I could blog about, but I will just tell you about the two biggest changes.
Using sign language is probably the most helpful thing they have learned. Since they can’t verbalize their wants or needs, sign language is a good way of communication for them. They only do a few signs so far. Mostly they do “more” and “all done”. These two signs really make meals easier. If they want more of something, they can do the sign instead of screaming till I figure out what they want. If they are “all done”, they do that sign and they can get out of their highchair. Even though they only do a few signs themselves, they understand some of the signs I do. Recently I have been trying to teach them “change” and “dirty”. Hopefully if they get this down, it will allow them to communicate when they have a diaper issue.
Cruising is another milestone they have reached. For those of you who don’t know what cruising is, it is when a baby walks while holding onto furniture or other objects. Both Titus and Adelaide are excelling at this. At times, they even let go and balance for a few seconds. Neither one of them has taken a step yet, but I am sure that milestone is right around the corner.
